Careers · We're hiring

Build the future of education technology.

Join us in building OptiCRM — modern school and college software, made in India for institutions across India. Small team, real customers, work that ships.

  • 4 open roles
  • 1–3 years experience
  • Remote-friendly
Our mission

Make running an institution feel modern.

Most school and college software was built for a different decade. Principals still wrangle spreadsheets. Finance staff still chase parents over WhatsApp. Teachers still mark attendance on paper. We're building the platform that should have replaced all of it years ago — modern, AI-native, and priced so any institution can afford it.

What we believe

Four values that guide every decision.

Hiring, product, pricing, support — when there's a hard call to make, we come back to these.

Honesty over polish

We publish prices, ship honest changelogs, and refuse to fabricate testimonials. If we don't know yet, we say so.

Depth over breadth

We solve full workflows end-to-end. A feature that's 80% done is a liability. We'd rather ship one thing well than five things partially.

India first, globally capable

Built for the regulatory and operational realities of Indian institutions — DPDP, INR, regional languages — with architecture that works anywhere.

Make, don't talk about making

We default to shipping. Long planning docs are weaker than two days of building. Every meeting must justify itself against time at the keyboard.

What we've built

A platform you can join in shaping.

OptiCRM and OptiLearn already cover the operational surface of a modern institution. There's a long way to go — and that's the opportunity.

Why join us

What you get when you join.

Real problems, real users

Institutions waste hours on manual paperwork every day. What we build saves that time. You'll see your work in production weekly.

Modern stack, no legacy debt

Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, PostgreSQL. Nothing older than 3 years. No 15-year-old PHP to untangle.

Small team, direct impact

Every person's work ships and matters. No layers of approval, no tickets stuck in JIRA for quarters.

Remote-friendly

Work from where you work best. Most roles are remote or hybrid. Hybrid means 2–3 days/week in Bengaluru or Shivamogga.

Life at OptiCloud

How we actually work.

No fluff. The day-to-day shape of the team.

Async by default, in-person when it helps

Most communication happens in writing. Meetings are scheduled with an agenda. We protect long blocks of focused time.

Documentation is part of the job

If it isn't written down, it didn't happen. We treat docs, runbooks, and post-mortems as production deliverables.

Ship every week

Continuous deployment. Small changes, often. Reviews are fast because the diffs are small. Bugs are caught early because the surface area is small.

Sustainable pace, not hero culture

Burnout is a bug, not a feature. We work hard during the day and we close the laptop at night. Weekend work is exceptional, not expected.

Benefits

What we provide beyond salary.

Modest, specific, and actually used. We'd rather offer fewer benefits well than a long list of perks nobody touches.

Equipment

Modern laptop, monitor, and accessories of your choice. Replaced on a 3-year cycle.

Learning budget

Books, courses, conferences. ₹30,000 per year, no approval gauntlet. Spend it.

Health insurance

Comprehensive group health cover for full-time employees. Family floater available on request.

Competitive compensation

Salary discussed during interview. Reviewed annually based on contribution, not tenure.

Remote-first

Work from where you work best. We cover home-office setup for remote employees.

Time for craft

Friday afternoons are protected for learning, exploration, and side experiments tied to our work.

Open positions

Six openings, four roles.

1–3 years experience. Competitive compensation — discussed during interview.

Full-time Engineering · QA

Software Testing Engineer ×2

  • Engineering · QA
  • Remote / Hybrid (Bengaluru or Shivamogga)
  • 1-3 years

You'll own the quality of OptiCRM and OptiLearn — a full-stack school management and learning platform used by institutions across India. You'll design test plans, execute manual tests, report defects, and partner with developers to ship features with confidence. This is hands-on QA work with real impact: what you catch doesn't reach our customers.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans for new features and regression cycles
  • Test web applications and mobile applications across browsers and devices
  • Validate backend behavior using SQL queries against PostgreSQL
  • Report, track, and verify defects using standard defect lifecycle (new → assigned → fixed → verified → closed)
  • Collaborate with developers during triage and root-cause discussions
  • Participate in release planning, smoke testing, and UAT cycles
  • Create and maintain test documentation — test cases, traceability matrices, release notes

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in manual software testing
  • Strong understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle
  • Experience writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
  • Web and mobile application testing experience
  • Basic SQL for backend/database validation
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail — you notice things others miss

Nice to have

  • Exposure to API testing (Postman, REST Assured)
  • Basic familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright — any one)
  • ISTQB Foundation certification
  • Experience testing SaaS or B2B products
  • Domain exposure to education technology, CRM, or ERP products

Full-time Marketing · Content

Content Creator ×2

  • Marketing · Content
  • Remote
  • 1-3 years

You'll craft the voice of OptiCRM — across blog posts, product documentation, email campaigns, social media, and customer case studies. You'll turn technical capability into clear, human stories that institutions understand. This is writing-heavy work for someone who cares about clarity over cleverness.

What you'll do

  • Write blog posts, long-form articles, and thought-leadership content on school management, education technology, and modern institutional operations
  • Produce product documentation, help center articles, and onboarding guides
  • Draft email sequences for lead nurture, onboarding, and retention
  • Write social media copy for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram
  • Collaborate with product and design on marketing pages, feature announcements, and launch content
  • Conduct interviews with customers and translate those conversations into case studies
  • Own the editorial calendar and maintain consistency of voice across all channels

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years of professional content writing experience, preferably B2B SaaS or technology
  • Excellent written English — clear, concise, and grammatically precise
  • Portfolio of published work (blog posts, articles, documentation, or marketing copy)
  • Ability to research unfamiliar topics and explain them in plain language
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals — keyword research, meta descriptions, internal linking
  • Comfortable working with CMSes, markdown, and basic HTML
  • Self-directed — you can research, draft, revise, and ship without a heavy editorial supervisor

Nice to have

  • Experience writing for the Indian education or B2B SaaS market
  • Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console
  • Basic design sensibility — able to use Figma or Canva for simple layouts
  • Video scriptwriting or podcast experience
  • Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu fluency (for regional content)

Full-time Sales · Field

Software Sales Executive

  • Sales · Field
  • Hybrid (Bengaluru / Shivamogga) with field visits across Karnataka
  • 1-3 years

You'll own the sales cycle for OptiCRM — from qualifying inbound demo requests to closing deals with schools, colleges, and coaching centres across India. You'll run product demos, negotiate pricing, and build the early customer relationships that become our public case studies. This is a role for someone who loves talking to customers and can translate what they hear into closed revenue.

What you'll do

  • Manage inbound leads from the website demo form, partner referrals, and marketing campaigns
  • Run 30-minute product demos via Zoom or Google Meet, tailored to the prospect's institution type
  • Qualify prospects against ideal customer profile and move them through the sales pipeline
  • Negotiate pricing within pre-approved ranges and close subscription contracts
  • Maintain an accurate CRM of every lead, conversation, and stage transition
  • Partner with implementation team to ensure smooth handoff post-sale
  • Attend occasional industry events and institution visits in Karnataka and neighboring states
  • Provide structured feedback to product and marketing on lost deals and competitor patterns

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably SaaS, software, or services
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent spoken English and Hindi; Kannada is a strong plus for Karnataka territory
  • Comfortable running product demos to mixed audiences (principals, admins, finance heads)
  • Strong CRM hygiene — you actually update your pipeline, not just say you will
  • Comfortable with cold calls, follow-ups, and the occasional awkward closing conversation
  • Willingness to travel within Karnataka 1-2 times per month

Nice to have

  • Sales experience in the Indian education sector (schools, colleges, edtech, coaching)
  • Experience with CRMs like HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or LeadSquared
  • Understanding of SaaS subscription models and pricing psychology
  • Basic technical aptitude — you can demo software without panicking when something breaks
  • Network in Indian educational institutions

Full-time Customer Success

CRM Implementation Specialist

  • Customer Success
  • Hybrid (Bengaluru / Shivamogga) with field visits
  • 1-3 years

You'll own the onboarding journey for every new OptiCRM customer — from initial kickoff to live-in-production. You'll configure their instance, migrate their data from spreadsheets or legacy systems, train their administrators, and make sure they're genuinely operational within the first 30 days. This role sits at the intersection of customer success, data operations, and product expertise.

What you'll do

  • Run kickoff calls with new customers and build a structured implementation plan
  • Configure customer instances — classes, fee structures, academic years, user roles, approval workflows
  • Migrate student, staff, and financial data from Excel sheets or legacy systems into OptiCRM
  • Train administrators, finance teams, and teachers on platform usage via live sessions and recorded walkthroughs
  • Create and maintain customer-facing setup documentation
  • Troubleshoot onboarding issues and partner with engineering on data anomalies
  • Own the first 90 days of the customer relationship and hand off to ongoing customer success
  • Contribute to the implementation playbook — what works, what breaks, what should be automated

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years of experience in CRM implementation, technical account management, or customer onboarding
  • Hands-on experience with Excel/Google Sheets for data transformation (lookups, pivots, cleanup)
  • Comfort with structured data — you understand why a CSV import fails and can fix it
  • Strong spoken communication in English and Hindi; Kannada is a plus
  • Patient and empathetic — most of your customers will be non-technical
  • Organized and deadline-driven — implementations have hard go-live dates
  • Comfortable running live training sessions to groups of 5-50 people

Nice to have

  • Prior CRM, ERP, or SaaS implementation experience
  • Familiarity with Indian school/college operations — admissions, fees, academic structure
  • Basic SQL for custom data queries
  • Exposure to REST APIs (for edge-case integrations)
  • Experience with support ticketing systems (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom)
